Congratulations to Phil Abbott of John O'Gaunt Golf Club, for capturing the title in Portugal.

Professionals and Amateurs enjoyed a great weekend of golf and socialising in the Algarve.

The event will be run again in 2004, so watch this space

The Event

3 days of stunning golf at the Vilamoura complex, playing a variety from the Millenium, Pinhal and Laguna courses. The competition will surround team play for the three days, wih great prizes on offer for both team and individual winners.

The Venue

The Algarve is a popular destination for golfers from the UK. The great weather sets it up as a great venue. Vilamoura is one of the most prestigious venues for golf in Europe.

"On behalf of the Robins Four, I would like to thank Rightclub for a fantastic weekend. We all really enjoyed the golf and the nightlife. The golf courses were superb and many of the holes will stay in my memory for years to come, regardless of how badly I played them.

The Amateur event was won by Iain Tait and Steve Robins (pictured right)of Hertfordshire.

The pair pipping their bitter rivals - Richard Freddericks and Paul Thornberry.

Tony Yorath and Tony Monaghan were third, Chris Pearce and Chris Monaghan fourth, with Ray Banham and Les Fryatt close behind.
