The Range :: Fit for Golf
|
|
 |
 |
|
 |
 |
 |
|
In the first
of our series, we look
at nutrition and what
to eat before, during
and after golf.
Too many
of us arrive at the course
in a hangover state or
just having forced down
a full English breakfast.
Nutrition
is a proven ingredient
of all successful golfers.
Whilst it may not change
a specific element of
your game, it may lead
to general improvement
in fitness and concentration.
Performance
will be sustained and
enhanced during a round
if carbohydrate energy
can be released into your
body.
Water and
Mineral losses during
exercise should also be
replaced during a round.

| Rightclub
suggests the following: |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
|
Before your
round:
Sustaining energy foods such as
Pasta, nuts, rice, green veg,
apples/pears and breakfast cereals.
During your
round: A quick hit of energy
such as Bananas, energy bars,
raisins and chocolate. Additionally
you need to maintain your fluid
levels with water or energy
drinks.
After your
round: Replace those carbos
Bananas, Chocolate, sports energy
drinks.
If you have played
well enough you now may have
a pint!
