STEP 1
| Having your chin down almost against your chest is a common fault with high handicap golfers or golfers who have recently taken the game up. The most heard phrase on the course is “keep your head down”. By putting your chin down this actually restricts the shoulder and back turn. Another problem is that the spine angle will be affected and the vertebrae will not be nice and tight during the swing. This could lead to back problems in the future. |

STEP 2
| By having your chin up this will allow you to turn far better and almost take the strain off your neck, shoulders and spine during the swing. It also makes transferring your weight far easier during the swing. Your chin should be high enough to allow the left shoulder (for a right-handed player) to turn underneath your chin at the top of the back swing. |
