The course design is the fruit of the combined effort of a team of professionals especially those of Brian Connelly and Peter Hoogcarspel. Brian brings to Mosa his experience working with Jack Nicklaus Design and Nick Faldo Design as Head Fine Shaper of The Belfry where he came to be considered one of the best in the world. Peter adds his 18 years of experience in the world of golf. A former touring pro, Peter also has a degree in golf course management and marketing. Ensuring that as a member you play when you want, non-members will only be allowed to play during specifically blocked hours throughout the day. Membership will also be limited to 1,500 to avoid the overcrowding seen on other courses, ensuring that the five minute rule between players will be kept. Additionally 8 marshals will always be on the course to keep play moving smoothly. That is all very well and good but as a golfer what you really want to do is get out and enjoy a great round of golf.
With 27 championship holes you can not only play one but 3 separate 18 hole, par 72 courses without ever leaving Mosa Trajectum. Add to this our fabulous 9 hole par 3 Challenge Course, set up for competitions held by the Federation, and you may never want to leave. Due to the varied terrain, Mosa Golf Murcia offers an amazing variety of holes so that you will discover something new every time you play. Mosa Golf Murcia is divided up into 3 well-defined 9-hole courses, creating a beautiful landscape of Desert and Paradise holes. Each 9-hole course is different from the other two and offers its own particular challenge. The first nine holes are called the ´Stone Course´ and are best suited to the highly technical player. Here on just 5 holes (the 2nd until the 6th ) we planted over 22,000 cacti. An additional 8,500 palm trees were also planted on this nine that meanders its way through wild and beautiful terrain and along stone river beds.
The second nine holes, the Olive Course, provide an abrupt change of scene, and the player is now faced with a links course, something not often seen outside of the UK. Here the course weaves its way through hundreds of olive trees. In true links style a variety of grass has been planted that gets longer the farther you are from the fairway. The third nine are aptly named the Pine Course. Mosa Golf Murcia has integrated 3500 pine trees into the existing scenery. This part of the course traverses the upper areas of the development, offering great views of the surrounding countryside as well as an exciting round of golf.
Mosa Golf Murcia does not end here. We also have a state of the art Golf Academy that offers both individual and group lessons. Lessons take place on one end of a 300-metre driving range while individual practice sessions are held at the other. The driving range is exceptional in that it has been constructed using natural grass. As a member, you will not find ball machines nor will you need to pay a fee to hit a bucket of balls, when playing a round of golf afterwards. These are always waiting for you on the range.
Adjacent to this is a fully stocked pro-shop staffed by helpful professionals. Other services include a putting green, pitching green, practice bunker, electric buggies with supply of fresh drinking water, trolley rental, club rental, changing rooms, showers, lockers, restaurant and a specific Adventure Golf Course for children. If you love the game of golf as much as we do then you will certainly love Mosa Golf Murcia. Even for non-golfers amongst you the 27-hole ecological championship golf course and 9-hole ecological challenge course will surely add to both the value of your investment and the views from your home. |
